Roses are grown all around the world. Most roses grown in Australia are
grown in greenhouse facilities many of which are heated to allow growers to supply all year round. |
| Availability |
Roses are available all year round though due to the cost of heating
supply reduces and prices go up in winter. This flower is however heavily imported when availability reduces in winter in Australia. |
| Use in Flower Arrangements |
Roses are very popular. They come in a range of colours and fragrances.
Roses are used in single stem gifts, used in bouquets, arrangements and commonly used in weddings. |
| Caring for the Flowers |
To keep roses healthy and extend their life, cut stems at an angle and place in fresh water. Limp roses can often be revived by standing in lukewarm water.
It is ideal to change the water daily. Roses should last about a week or more with good care. |
