The Freshest Flowers
Floristry depends on many factors and Beauty is often in the eye of the beholder. We promise you however that the freshness of our flower is our main competitive advantage. This Customer comment is common “I use you guys because your flowers last the longest”
Also be aware that there are times when our flowers are more tightly budded than shown on our website. The upside is that they last longer but may not look quite as magnificent as they will in a day or two.

Occasionally something can go wrong and an older or sick bunch of flowers get under our guard but it is so unusual expect us to ask a few questions to help us determine what happened. We will find a way to compensate you depending on the circumstances. Where it has been a problem with the flowers or our delivery, we will negotiate the best remedy for both of us. Remedies may include resending flowers, sending a gift through to a refund.
There is a bit of fine print though.
Firstly we must hear from you within 24 hours if there is a problem that you want us to take action on.
Flowers do need care. To maximize their life, ideally if you receive a bouquet snip 1 – 2 cm off the flower stems (diagonally) and put into fresh water with plant food if supplied. Change the water every 2 days. If the flowers are in an arrangement top up the water every 2 days. Ensure the Flowers are not in direct sunlight or in a breezy location or too near a bowl of fruit. Extremes in weather will obviously impact on flower life.
Please also note that due to seasonal and even market to market changes, availability of exactly the colour or variety of flower is guaranteed. Our promise is that we will we will always maintain the integrity of the design and flowers used to ensure your flowers are as close as is possible to those shown on the web. We do however reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions without recourse to the Sender.

Our Austalia-wide Delivery Service (this is AUSTRALI A WIDE DELIVERY)
Through our network of own shops, “franchised” shops, affiliated shops and the best of the Interflora, Telflora and Petals networks your flowers can be delivered by the Flower Factory. We can ensure your get the best flowers and service through our network. There are very places we can’t reach in Australia and Internationally. We are of course Sydney based and control the whole chain in Sydney (except the flower growing).
We should also note that we do charge for delivery for our flowers so you know exactly what you get in flower value and there is clear transparency on what our charges are. We currently charge a flat $13.50 for delivery anywhere in Australia.
If we receive your Order by noon, it can be delivered by the end of the day. Please note that in planning our deliveries we assume businesses will be open until 5pm. Private residences may delivered later than 5pm. We will always try and meet your delivery requirements so if they are Special let us know in advance by writing notes in the Delivery Instructions on your web order and/or giving us a day’s early warning. We do have real people answering the phone without delay, so give us a call to confirm tricky details.
If you have a rushed delivery at short notice, please call us but expect to pay priority Delivery Rates depending on the location for the delivery.
Please be aware that Deliveries are not made on Sundays or Public Holidays.
International
The Flower Factory is one of Australia’s most active members of the International Floristry networks especially Interflora and Teleflora. We regularly send flowers overseas and have many contacts from our 30 years in floristry.
International Orders must be placed by phone. There is significant variation in both flower availability and varieties and prices overseas with varying climates, styles and fashions. We will guide you in ordering the most suitable flowers for any occasion and can give you clear price guidance. Please also try and give at least 1 days notice (on top of the time delay).
Please also allow for Aus $19.50 for delivery.
Tips on address an order
The floristry and flowers are the magic but the logistics of getting your flowers to the Recipient is also very important. There are some important things that you can do to help. The general rule is to put yourself in the position of our Delivery Driver
- If we are delivering to a Business – please include the delivery name. Whether in a street of in the foyer of a larger building a name is often easy to see. It also alerts us to the fact that they will close at 5pm (if you know they close earlier or there is a shift change, please tell us)
- If it is a security apartment block, try and ensure the recipient will be home or give us instructions if they are not
- The Recipients best contact number (usually the mobile) is wonderfully handy if we are having troubles with the delivery. Remember we deliver flowers all te time, we try not to give away any surprise.
- Ensure you give your own best contact details. Phone is very helpful if we need to contact you in a hurry.
- If you are unsure of the Delivery address, please check it. If we are given the wrong address and attempt to make the delivery to find it is incorrect, then we will have to charge another delivery fee to do the delivery again (assuming we have been able to recover the flowers)
- If you know we can leave the delivery safe or with a neighbour or such like, please let us know in the Special Instructions section of the Order Form.
